Universal access to reliable electricity is essential for ensuring economic growth, environmental protection and improved public health assets. Iran is a country with high potential for development. That is why the development of power generation capacity in the country is one of the most basic infrastructures and programs. This has created the right atmosphere for the growth and development of Sana company. Relying on powerful shareholders and the experience and knowledge of the company’s internal team as well as having professional and experienced business partners and consultants, Sana provides an appropriate structure in order to attract domestic and foreign investors. Feasibility studies, investment and participation in creating, launching and developing industries related to power generation mostly via the BOO method are among the main activities of this company. Iran’s power plant capacity’s trend of development in accordance with the policies of Iran’s Ministry of Energy predicts an increase in the total power generation capacity of the country from 70 megawatts to about 160,000 MW in 2041. At the end of the planning period, combined cycle power plants, hydroelectric and wind turbines will account for the most capacious power plants in the country with 62, 15 and 14 percent of share, respectively.

An analysis of the status of Iran in the field of renewable energy shows that the share of renewable energy in electricity production is very low. However, according to the country’s development programs, the government is allowed to prepare the conditions for the production of up to five thousand megawatts of wind and solar energy in production programs through managed funds and loan interest subsidies by supporting private and cooperative sectors. Among the incentives available to improve the situation in the country and increase investment in renewable energy, it is possible to point out the signing of a guaranteed contract for purchasing electricity by Iran’s Ministry of Energy and the high price of energy produced by these plants. Despite these incentives and the hope for more support for clean energy by the government, investing in this type of power plant is a good option for investment by the private sector.
